You lend the item. Arkila checks the people, the money and the deposit, so you never have to chase a classmate.

  1. Before the handoff

    • Every renter is verifiedAn Arkila admin checks each student’s ID, front and back, against a selfie.
    • The money is checked firstA person verifies every payment proof. You hand nothing over until it clears.
  2. At the handoff

    • It happens in publicAt the campus safe zone on your listing, both ways.
    • The deposit sits with ArkilaNot with you, not with the renter. Any deduction needs a written reason.
  3. After the end date

    • Late returns get flaggedThe day after the end date, the rental is marked overdue and you both get a notice.
    • Disputes get a humanOpen one with photos. An admin decides the deposit split; payouts for that rental wait until it’s settled.

The fine print, answered

  • Students and student alumni. Sign up with your campus, then verify your ID once (a school ID, national ID, driver’s license or passport, plus a selfie). After that you can list and rent.

  • A ₱50 listing fee, once per listing, checked by an Arkila admin before the listing goes live. Editing it later is free. When something rents, Arkila keeps 10% of the rent and nothing from the deposit. Renters pay a ₱50 service fee on top; it never comes out of your rent.

  • You do. Set a daily rate, and a deposit if you want one. Renters see the full total, including Arkila’s service fee, before they request.

  • No. Requests come in with the dates, and you approve or decline each one. You can message the renter first. Approving one request declines any others for the same dates, and before anyone pays, either of you can cancel for free.

  • When you confirm the return, the rent minus 10% moves into your wallet. Request a payout whenever you like: your whole balance, no minimum, by GCash, bank transfer or cash. Arkila attaches the receipt when it’s sent.

  • A rental still out the day after its end date is flagged overdue and you’re both notified. For damage, open a dispute with photos; an Arkila admin decides whether the deposit goes to you, back to the renter, or is split. Payouts tied to that rental wait until it’s settled.

  • At the safe zone you pick on your listing: a public, well-known spot on campus. You meet there for the handover and the return.
